Nurse Manager
Join our team and help lead high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative community health setting.
The Nurse Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing daily clinical operations, supporting nursing staff, and ensuring exceptional patient care. This position partners closely with providers and clinical support teams to create an efficient, positive, and compassionate care environment aligned with our mission and values.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support a multidisciplinary nursing team including RNs, LPNs, and Medical Assistants
- Oversee daily clinical operations, patient flow, staffing, scheduling, and clinical support functions
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Monitor staff performance, provide coaching, and support professional development
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, infection control protocols, Joint Commission requirements, and UDS measures
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of clinical staff
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence using performance metrics and best practices
- Provide direct patient care as needed, including assessments, medication administration, documentation, and care coordination
- Collaborate across departments to ensure integrated, patient-centered services
- Serve as a clinical leader on committees, projects, and organizational initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Connecticut RN license required; BSN preferred
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum 2 years of ambulatory care experience required; FQHC experience preferred
- At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in an ambulatory setting
- Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, and team-building skills
- Experience with quality improvement methodologies such as PDSA or Lean preferred
- Proficiency with EHR systems, Microsoft Office, and web-based tools
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
- Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants
